Hand-woven using the knotting method
Hand-woven rugs are created thanks to a complicated, multi-stage process. The production of modern carpets takes place in small villages in India, mainly in the Uttar Pradesh region, near the Ganges River. Experienced Indian weavers make each carpet by hand, using an advanced and time-consuming knotting technique (250 knots per m2), which gives the carpets elasticity and durability.
Once the knotting is finished, the craftsmen wash the carpets outdoors, using only clean water and traditional tools.
These carpets are extremely soft to the touch and significantly improve the acoustics of the interior. In addition, they help purify the air you breathe.
How to care for a wool rug?
Keep your carpet clean by regularly removing dust and dirt. Vacuum gently in the direction of the pile, avoiding the use of chemicals.
We recommend vacuuming and beating your carpet regularly to keep it in good condition. Try to avoid getting the carpet wet and be careful when washing the floor.
Protect your rug from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can cause colors to fade unevenly. Colors may fade over time, but this should happen evenly over the entire surface of the carpet.
Pay particular attention to fringes and edges, which may wear out. They can be repaired if necessary.
If the rug is to be placed on a slippery floor, we recommend using an anti-slip pad that can be cut to size.
Turn your carpet at least twice a year to prevent uneven wear. Additionally, to protect the carpet, place soft pads, such as felt, under the legs of heavy furniture placed on the carpet.
