Only the best viscose
The rug is entirely made of high quality viscose, specially treated to obtain a silky effect. Thanks to this, it has a shiny fleece that looks elegant and at the same time is exceptionally velvety and pleasant to the touch. Its presence significantly improves the acoustics of the interior, reducing echo and noise, which helps create a cozy atmosphere. Additionally, the breathable structure of the carpet helps maintain heat and effectively retains dust and chemicals. In this way, the carpet not only adds aesthetic charm to the interior, but also actively purifies the air, creating a healthier environment in your home.
Hand-woven using the knotting method
Hand-woven carpets are created as a result of a complex production process. In small villages in India, especially in Uttar Pradesh on the Ganges River, local, experienced craftsmen create modern carpets using advanced knotting techniques, reaching a density of approximately 250 knots per square meter. This technique gives the carpets elasticity and durability.
Once the knots are finished, the artisans wash the rugs outdoors, using traditional methods and clean water and tools.
The carpet is soft to the touch, significantly improves room acoustics by reducing echo and noise, and also helps purify the air by retaining chemicals. Its breathable structure also helps keep the room warm.
How to care for a viscose rug?
Run your hand across the carpet to determine the direction of the pile. Cleaning your carpet in the opposite direction can loosen the fibers and distort its structure.
Avoid high-powered vacuum cleaners with rotating brushes as they may damage the viscose fibers. Instead, use a hand-held carpet brush and move it towards the pile. This will help remove any remaining crumbs and dirt.
Do not use detergents as they may stain and change the color of the carpet. Clean stains with white vinegar, water and dishwashing liquid. Cleaning stains immediately will reduce their size and intensity. For tougher stains, use a mixture of water, white vinegar and mild dishwashing liquid. Dab the stain with a cloth, then immediately remove the solution with a clean, damp cloth. Do not overdo the amount of solution so as not to damage the carpet.
Use a mild dishwashing liquid to clean spills. First, test it on a small area of the carpet. If discoloration or stains appear, do not use it. If you need to clean a larger area, mild dishwashing liquid and water will work. Soak a cloth with cold water and a drop of neutral dishwashing liquid, and then wipe the carpet in the direction of the pile. Once finished, wipe the area with a dry cloth until it is dry.
