Hand-woven using the tufting method
Tufting a carpet is a method in which yarn is inserted into the base material using specialist tools such as tufting guns. The yarn is placed between the warp threads, creating loops or piles, which are then stabilised with glue. A pattern is usually drawn on the backing before work begins, which makes it easier to precisely reproduce the design. Once tufting is complete, the fibres are cut to the correct length and the backing of the carpet is further reinforced with glue.
