The yarn is “shot” between the warp threads, creating loops or piles, which are then fixed with glue. Usually, a pattern to be copied is applied to the backing before work begins. Once the process is complete, the fibres are cut to the appropriate height and the backing of the carpet is protected with an additional layer.
