Hand-woven using the tufting method
Tufting a carpet is a method in which yarn is inserted into the base fabric using specialist tools such as tufting guns. The yarn is placed between the warp threads, creating loops or piles, which are then fixed with glue. Before work begins, a pattern is often drawn on the backing to facilitate accurate reproduction of the design. Once the process is complete, the yarns are cut to length and the backing of the carpet is reinforced with glue.
