Hand-woven using the knotting method
Hand-woven rugs are created through a complicated, multi-stage process. The production of these modern carpets takes place in small villages in India, mainly in the Uttar Pradesh region, near the Ganges River. Experienced Indian weavers handcraft each rug using an advanced and time-consuming knotting technique that includes 250 knots per square meter, which gives the rugs durability and resilience.
After the knotting process is completed, the craftsmen wash the carpets outdoors, using only clean water and traditional tools.
These rugs are incredibly soft to the touch and significantly improve room acoustics. Additionally, they help purify the air you breathe.
How to care for a wool rug?
To keep your carpet clean, remove dust and dirt regularly. Vacuum gently in the direction of the fibers, avoiding the use of chemicals.
Regular vacuuming and beating of the carpet is recommended to maintain its good condition. Avoid getting the carpet wet and be careful when mopping the floor.
Protect your carpet from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent uneven color fading. Colors may fade over time, but this process should occur evenly over the entire surface of the carpet.
Pay special attention to fringes and edges that may be wearing out. Make repairs as necessary.
If the carpet is placed on a slippery floor, we recommend using an anti-slip pad that can be cut to size.
Rotate your carpet at least twice a year to prevent uneven wear. For additional protection, place soft pads, such as felt, under the legs of heavy furniture sitting on carpet.
