Hand-woven using the tufting method
Tufting a carpet is a method in which yarn is inserted into the fabric backing using specialist tools such as tufting guns. The yarn is placed between the warp threads, creating loops or piles, which are then stabilised with glue. Before the process begins, a pattern is often drawn on the backing to act as a guide. Once tufting is complete, the fibres are cut to the correct length and the backing of the carpet is further reinforced with glue.
