Hand-woven
Hand-woven carpets are the result of a complex production process. In small villages in India, especially in the Uttar Pradesh region on the Ganges River, skilled craftsmen create modern carpets using an advanced knot-tying technique, achieving a density of about 250 knots per square meter. Thanks to this method, the carpets gain elasticity and durability.
The carpet is extremely soft and significantly improves room acoustics, reducing echo and noise. In addition, it helps purify the air by retaining chemicals, and its breathable structure helps keep the interior warm.
How to care for a wool rug?
Keep your carpet clean by regularly removing dust and dirt. Vacuum it gently, always in the direction of the bristles, avoiding the use of chemicals.
We recommend regular maintenance by vacuuming and beating the carpet. Avoid getting it wet, especially when washing the floor.
Protect your rug from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to avoid uneven color fading. The colors of the carpet may fade over time, but they should do so evenly.
Keep an eye out for fringes and edges, which may be subject to wear but can be repaired if necessary.
If the carpet is placed on a slippery floor, we recommend using an anti-slip pad that can be cut to size.
Rotate your carpet twice a year to prevent uneven wear. For additional protection, place soft pads, such as felt, under the legs of heavy furniture placed on the carpet.
