Hand-woven using the knotting method
Hand-woven rugs are the product of a complex manufacturing process. In small villages in India, especially in the Ganges region of Uttar Pradesh, local, experienced weavers handcraft modern carpets. They use an advanced knotting technique that gives the carpets both elasticity and durability.
After tying all the knots, the craftsmen wash the carpets outdoors in the traditional way, using only clean water and traditional tools.
This carpet is pleasant to the touch, significantly improves the acoustics in rooms and contributes to air purification.
How to care for a wool rug?
Keep your carpet clean by regularly removing dust and dirt. When vacuuming, move in the direction of the fibers to avoid damaging them. It is not recommended to use chemicals to clean the carpet.
Carpet maintenance should include regular vacuuming and airing. Try not to soak the carpet when washing floors.
Protect the carpet from long-term exposure to direct sunlight, which may cause uneven fading of colors. Although natural fading is normal, colors should fade evenly.
Frequently check the condition of the carpet fringes and edges, which may be worn out but can be repaired.
If you are placing the carpet on a slippery surface, use a special pad adapted to its size.
To avoid uneven wear on your carpet, rotate it at least twice a year. For additional protection against dents from heavy furniture, use soft pads, such as those made of felt.
