Hand-woven carpets are the result of a complex production process. In small villages in India, especially in the Ganges River region of Uttar Pradesh, skilled local craftsmen create modern rugs using advanced braiding and ball-tying techniques. Thanks to this, the carpets have a distinct structure that provides a unique tactile experience.
The carpet is extremely soft to the touch, significantly improves room acoustics by reducing echo and noise, and helps purify the air by retaining chemicals. Its breathable structure also helps keep the room warm.
How to care for a wool rug?
Keep your carpet clean by regularly removing dust and dirt. Vacuum it gently in the direction of the fibers and avoid using chemicals.
We recommend regular maintenance by vacuuming and beating the carpet. Avoid getting it wet, especially when washing the floor.
Protect your rug from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to avoid uneven fading. The colors of the carpet may fade over time, but this should happen evenly.
Keep an eye out for fringes and edges that may be wearing out; they can be repaired if necessary.
If the carpet is placed on a slippery floor, we recommend using an anti-slip pad that can be adjusted to the size of the carpet.
