Only the best viscose
The rug is there entirely made of high-quality viscose, which has been specially treated to give it a silky effect. His shimmering fleece not only does it look elegant, but it is also exceptionally velvety and pleasant to the touch. The carpet significantly improves the acoustics of the room, reducing echo and noise, which helps create a cozy atmosphere. Additionally, the breathable structure of the carpet helps keep warm and effectively retains dust and chemicals. In this way, the carpet not only adds charm to the interior, but also actively purifies the air, creating a healthier environment at home. The carpet has a clear structure obtained by cutting out a pattern in the pile (carving method), which provides an interesting 3D effect.
Hand-woven using the knotting method
Hand-woven carpets are created through a complex production process. In small villages in India, especially in the Uttar Pradesh region on the Ganges River, experienced local craftsmen create modern carpets using an advanced knotting technique, reaching a density of approximately 250 knots per square meter. This method gives the carpets elasticity and durability.
Once the knots are finished, the artisans wash the rugs outdoors, using traditional methods and clean water and tools.
The carpet is soft to the touch, significantly improves room acoustics by reducing echo and noise, and also helps purify the air by retaining chemicals. Its breathable structure also helps keep the room warm.
How to care for a viscose rug?
Run your hand across the carpet to identify the direction of the pile. Cleaning in the opposite direction may loosen the fibers and deform the carpet.
Avoid high-powered vacuum cleaners with rotating brushes as they may damage the viscose fibers. Instead, use a non-electric carpet brush and move it in the direction of the pile to effectively remove debris and dirt.
Detergents can stain and discolor the carpet, so avoid using them. It is best to clean stains with white vinegar, water and dishwashing liquid. Fast action reduces the size and intensity of stains. For more difficult stains, use a solution of water, white vinegar and mild dishwashing liquid. Wipe the stain with a cloth soaked in the solution, then immediately remove the solution with a clean, damp cloth, making sure it is not too wet.
Use a mild dishwashing liquid to clean spills. First, test it on an inconspicuous area of the carpet. If discoloration does not appear, apply the liquid to a larger area. Soak the cloth in cold water and a drop of neutral pH liquid, then wipe the area in the direction of the pile. Finally, dry the area with a clean cloth until it is completely dry.
