Only the best viscose
The carpet is made entirely made of high-quality viscose, specially treated to obtain a silky effect. As a result, the carpet has a shiny pile that not only looks elegant, but is also exceptionally velvety and pleasant to the touch. Its presence significantly improves the acoustics of the interior, reducing echo and noise, which helps create a cozy atmosphere. Additionally, the breathable structure of the carpet helps maintain heat and effectively retains dust and chemicals. In this way, the carpet not only adds charm to the interior, but also actively purifies the air, creating a healthier environment in your home.
Hand-woven using the knotting method
Hand-woven carpets are created as a result of a complex production process. In small villages in India, especially in Uttar Pradesh on the Ganges River, local, experienced craftsmen create modern carpets using advanced knotting techniques, reaching a density of approximately 250 knots per square meter. This technique gives the carpets elasticity and durability.
Once the knots are finished, the artisans wash the rugs outdoors, using traditional methods and clean water and tools.
The carpet is soft to the touch, significantly improves room acoustics by reducing echo and noise, and also helps purify the air by retaining chemicals. Its breathable structure also helps keep the room warm.
How to care for a viscose rug?
Run your hand across the carpet to determine the direction of the pile. Cleaning the carpet in the opposite direction to the pile can loosen the fibers and distort the carpet.
High-power vacuum cleaners with rotating brushes can damage the fibers of a viscose carpet. Instead, use a non-electric carpet brush and move it towards the pile. This should remove any remaining crumbs and dirt from the carpet.
Do not use detergents as they may stain and change the color of the carpet. Clean stains with white vinegar, water and dishwashing liquid. Cleaning stains as soon as they occur will reduce their size and intensity. For particularly tough stains, try cleaning the area with a mixture of water, white vinegar and mild dishwashing liquid. Use a cloth to dab the stain, then immediately remove the solution with a clean, damp cloth. Do not saturate the cloth too much with the solution as it may damage the carpet.
Use a mild dishwashing liquid to clean up spills. Test the dishwashing liquid on a small area of the carpet before using it. If you notice discoloration or stains, do not use it. If you need to clean a larger area, mild dishwashing liquid and water will be a good option. Soak the cloth with cold water and a drop of pH-neutral dishwashing liquid, and then wipe the cloth in the direction of the pile. When finished, wipe the area with a dry cloth until it is dry.
