Hand-woven using the tufting method
Tufting a carpet is a technique where yarn is inserted into the backing using specialist tools such as tufting guns. The yarn is placed between the warp threads, creating loops or piles, which are then stabilised with glue. Before starting, a pattern is often drawn onto the backing to help accurately reproduce the design. Once the process is complete, the yarns are cut to the correct height and the backing of the carpet is reinforced with glue.
