Hand-woven using the knotting method
Hand-woven carpets are the result of a complex production process. In small villages in India, especially in Uttar Pradesh on the Ganges, local, experienced craftsmen make modern rugs using advanced knotting techniques. This technique gives the carpets elasticity and durability.
Once the knots are finished, the artisans wash the rugs outdoors, using traditional methods and clean water and tools.
The carpet is soft to the touch, significantly improves room acoustics and helps purify the air by retaining chemicals. Its breathable structure also helps keep the room warm.
How to care for a wool rug?
Take care of your carpet by regularly removing dust and other dirt from it. When vacuuming, move in the direction of the fibers so as not to damage their structure. Avoid using chemical cleaning products.
To keep your carpet clean, vacuum and air it regularly. When washing floors, try to avoid flooding the carpet.
Protecting your carpet from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight will prevent colors from fading unevenly. While some fading is natural, it should occur evenly.
If the carpet is on a slippery surface, use an appropriate pad to ensure its stability.
Rotate your carpet at least twice a year to avoid uneven wear. To prevent dents from heavy furniture, use soft pads, such as felt pads.
