Reza's carpets use the highest quality wool. It is carefully selected to perfectly match a given collection. Wool carpets have unique features. Lanolin, a natural deeply moisturizing oil found in wool, creates a protective layer that provides protection against moisture and dirt. Moreover, the high elasticity of the fiber makes the carpet always look fresh.
Dyeing using traditional techniques allows the colors to penetrate deeply into the fibers, maintaining their brightness and intensity for many years of use.
Hand-woven
Hand-woven rugs are created through a multi-step process. Modern carpet production takes place in small Indian villages, mainly in the Uttar Pradesh region, close to the Ganges River. Experienced Indian weavers handcraft each rug, using an advanced and time-consuming knotting technique that gives the rugs resilience and durability.
Once the knotting process is complete, artisans traditionally wash the carpets outdoors, using only clean water and traditional tools.
These carpets are soft to the touch, significantly improve room acoustics and help purify the air we breathe.
How to care for a wool rug?
Keep your carpet clean by regularly removing dust and dirt. Vacuum it gently in the direction of the bristles and avoid using chemicals.
We recommend systematic vacuuming and beating the carpet. Try to avoid getting the carpet wet, especially when mopping the floor.
Protect your carpet from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent uneven color fading. The colors will gradually fade, but this should be done evenly over the entire surface.
Take care of fringes and edges that may be exposed to wear. They can be repaired if necessary.
If you plan to place the rug on a slippery floor, we recommend using a pad that can be adjusted to the size of the rug.
For even wear, turn the rug at least twice a year. For additional protection, it is worth using soft pads, for example made of felt, under the legs of heavy furniture standing on the carpet.
