In small villages in India, especially in the Uttar Pradesh region on the Ganges River, skilled local craftsmen create modern carpets using advanced braiding and ball tying techniques. The carpet is extremely soft, significantly improves room acoustics by reducing echo and noise, and also helps purify the air by retaining chemicals. Its breathable structure helps maintain warmth inside.
How to care for a wool rug?
Keep your carpet clean by regularly removing dust and dirt. Vacuum it gently in the direction of the pile and avoid using chemicals.
We recommend regular maintenance by vacuuming and beating the carpet. Avoid getting it wet, especially when washing the floor.
Protect your rug from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can cause uneven fading. The colors of the carpet will fade over time, but they should do so evenly.
Keep an eye out for fringes and edges, which may be worn but can be repaired if necessary.
If the carpet is on a slippery floor, we recommend using an anti-slip pad that can be cut to the dimensions of the carpet.
Rotate your carpet twice a year to prevent uneven wear. For additional protection, place soft pads, such as felt, under the legs of heavy furniture placed on the carpet.
